Shugufta obtained a law degree and LPC from Staffordshire University and went on to complete her training at one of the top Legal 500 firms based in Worcestershire, qualifying in 2006.
She joined Brownings in 2007 and was Head of our new Evesham Branch for 2 years, she then transferred to the Litigation department in June 2009.
Shugufta has a vast amount of experience in several areas of law including property, litigation, and personal injury.
Her particular expertise lie within employment law and Shugufta has focused on all aspects of employment including dealing with contentious and non contentious matters.
Shugufta has advised employees and employers in a variety of high profile cases involving sex, race and disability discrimination as well as unfair/constructive dismissal cases. She is a tenacious litigator who has been involved in several reported cases which have attracted media attention, and has dealt with complex employment claims, achieving high value settlements and tailored outcomes for clients. Shugufta also regularly negotiates severance terms and packages for high value companies and individuals.
Furthermore, Shugufta is able to deal with complex property law having worked alongside major developers as well as property investors. Her experience extends to dealing with all types of residential property matters including transfers of equity, shared ownerships, sales and purchases, plot purchases as well as equity release transactions and right to buys.
