Stephen Parker
Partner - Head of Family
Stephen Parker qualified as a Solicitor in 1988 and has since that date specialised in Family Law work. He joined Brownings in 1991 as Head of the firm's Family Law Department and became a Partner in 1995. He is married with 2 Children and also sits as a Deputy District Judge.
Stephen has great expertise in the Law relating to Children and the very difficult issues of: disputes between parents over Child residence, maintaining regular parental contact (if couples are no longer living together) and in actions brought by Social Services over Child Care. He also has great experience in dealing with the consequences of relationship breakdown, maintenance, dealing with the former joint home and the division of property.
Stephen is an approved lecturer with Central Law Training Ltd and has received extensive accreditations from the Law Society including the following:
- An Accredited Specialist and member of Resolution (formerly the Solicitors Family Law Association)
- The Family Law Panel (Advanced Member)
- The Children Panel
- High Court Advocate
